Herdade do Esporão is home to a unique terroir resulting from the alliance of a very particular climate, regulated and softened by the large central lake, with different types of soil, exhibitions and the vast wine heritage made up of native grape varieties, grape varieties from other wine regions and international grape varieties. The typically Mediterranean landscape is composed of gentle rolling plains that occupy a little more than 1,800 hectares of total area, 450 hectares of which are occupied by vineyards and about 80 hectares occupied by olive groves. With a lively and concentrated color, Esporão Canto do Zé Cruz presents an aroma of blackcurrant notes combined with some dry vegetable. Elegant and intense, this red is deep, silky, with well-integrated tannins and notes of spices.
